I had lots of lucky with this project – my most favorite being that my mom’s 75th birthday temps on September 6th (represented in the final two edging colors) were the same as her birth date in 1943. 🤗🎂
☝️ This is the best I could manage for a full pic. There are 75 color-coded motifs representing my mom’s birth date thru celebration #74. Her 75th birthday is recorded in the outer two colors. 🍃 The border serves as a temperature legend with shell stitch waves for birthday high temps (60s, 70s, 80s, & 90s) and the half-double band for low temps (50s, 60s, & 70s).
The yarn is Lion Brand Wool-Ease and OMG soft! 😍
☝️ This #3 round motif is what I used after modifying it to reduce the beginning circle to ch 4 and the first round from 16 to 12 dc (more details provided at request).
